Anna Nicole Smith's last starring vehicle "Illegal Aliens" may suffer a pushback in its release following her death Thursday, February 8, 2007.

AceShowbiz - The sudden death of former Playboy playmate Anna Nicole Smith sure has bring such great shock towards public as well as those involved in show business, including in film industry that the last movie she starred was cancelled to be screened this month.

The flick, a B-grade comedy titled "Illegal Aliens", was supposed to have three screenings on Saturday night, February 10, in Johnstown, New York, and two more next week in Vermont, but the schedule was quickly terminated by director David Giancola in the wake of Smith's death.

"I don't think it's appropriate, based on the content of the film, to be screening it at this time," so Giancola said Friday, February 9. "It's a comedy and it's her making fun of her public persona. So much of it is riffing on Anna and her riffing on herself, I just don't think, with her passing, it's appropriate to screen it so quickly after her death."

As all plans were scrapped, the intention to release the film as scheduled is likely to meet the same fate as well.

"We had planned to release it in April and were making preparations," Giancola remarked. "But right now, it's such an early stage, we just don't know. We're all kind of in shock right now."

Smith, 39, was declared dead on Thursday, February 8, shortly after she was found unconscious at a casino-hotel in Hollywood, Florida. She filmed "Aliens" in Vermont in 2005, playing one of the three extraterrestrials who fight an intergalactic terrorist.
