Mob drama "Brooklyn Rules" will encounter its wide release via City Lights Pictures.

AceShowbiz - Already launched in limited theaters last year, Michael Corrente's "Brooklyn Rules" now is set to have its wide release through City Lights Pictures.

Variety has reported that the New York-based company has successfully obtained the mob drama with a platform release schedule starting in May. The flick, written by Terence Winter, features Alec Baldwin, Mena Suvari, and Freddie Prinze Jr. in the cast and revolves around three friends in the mob world circa 1985.

One of the three divisions of City Lights Media Group, City Lights Pictures previously collaborated with New Line Cinema to produce "A Dirty Shame" that came up in theaters back in 2004. Its latest production is "The Ten" which is scheduled to open on August 3 this year under ThinkFilm banner.
