Movie

Ben Stiller is in talks with Tom Cruise for a role in "The Hardy Men", an update version of successful teen detective book series "The Hardy Boys."

AceShowbiz - Looking forward to once again work under Shawn Levy after "Night at the Museum", Ben Stiller is making negotiations with Tom Cruise to have a starring slot in the filmmaker and megastar's new project "The Hardy Men", TMZ.com has revealed.

An updated version of popular detective/adventure book series "The Hardy Boys", the flick is said to see the boys as adults instead yet are still up to their old tricks once more. No exact production date set for the flick up to this time, but filming is expected to begin in October this year under the 20th Century Fox banner.

Chronicling the fictional adventures of teenage brothers Frank and Joe Hardy, the original "Hardy" was produced between 1927 and 1979 to then be brought into small screen for at least five times in either live-action or animated series form. The animated version even sparked two bubblegum music albums released by RCA titled "Here Come The Hardys" and "Wheels."
