AceShowbiz - It surely is good news. B.B. King has been released from the hospital. The blues legend was discharged from a Galveston hospital Saturday January 27th, two days after he was admitted with flu-like symptoms.
King left the University of Texas Medical Branch's Acute Care for Elders unit in Galveston at about 1 p.m. CST, hospital spokesman John Coloen said.
The 81-year-old, Grammy-winning bluesman was scheduled to perform Thursday Jan 25th at the Grand Opera House, but was admitted to The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston with a low-grade fever resulting from the flu. Concerts that had been scheduled before then in Galveston, Orange and Tyler will be rescheduled for June later this year.
