AceShowbiz - B.B. King was forced to cancel his scheduled performance at the Grand Opera House on Thursday night January 25th following "flu-like symptoms".
The blues legend, who is diabetic but otherwise said to be in good health, was admitted to the University of Texas Medical Branch's Acute Care for Elders Unit at about 9.15pm local time, hospital spokesman John Koloen said.
Koloen, furthermore, said the hospital was keeping King in the elderly acute care unit until Saturday Jan 27th "just to make sure." Despite all, "He's doing great," said Tina France, vice-president of Lieberman Management LLC of New York. "He's in good spirits and cracking jokes."
And as a result of the star hospitalization, his concerts in Galveston, Orange and Tyler, Texas, previously scheduled for this week and early next week, will be rescheduled for June.
