A man was killed and two other were injured after a wall on "Jumper" set got collapsed.

AceShowbiz - The same day Nicole Kidman experienced car crash during filming a scene in "The Invasion", another tragedy ensued on the Canadian set of sci-fi thriller "Jumper" as a wall which was part of the flick's set got collapsed on a soundstage near downtown Toronto just after 2 pm.
The accident killed a 56-year-old set decorator named David Ritchie and hurt two other workers. Ritchie was pronounced dead at the scene while one of the survivors reportedly had serious neck and back injuries. None of the film's stars were at the location at that time.
It was reported that the wall's structure fell off upon being struck by a backhoe, which intended to clear the set following the wrapping up of the shooting at the area, sending thousands of pounds of concrete tumbling down and buried Ritchie underneath. Fellow crew members did try to help the man using a first aid kit, but the attempt unfortunately was unsuccessful.
Jumper, based on Steven Gould's novel of the same title, is a production of the 20th Century Fox directed by "The Bourne Identity" helmer Doug Liman with Hayden Christensen starring as the titular character. The studio has already set February 15, 2008 as the release date of the movie.
