Haitian-born hip-hop star Wyclef Jean has been appointed as Haiti's roving ambassador.

AceShowbiz - Wyclef Jean has just had a new task to complete as he's been appointed by Haitian President Rene Preval as a roving ambassador to promote the troubled country's image abroad.
"We wish we could have several Wyclef as roving ambassadors because the country could have gained so much," Foreign Affairs Minister Renald Clerisme said.
On the Haitian-born hip-hop star, government officials moreover praised him as a model for youth, the pride of all Haitians and "our best asset to promote the country's image around the world and to help attract foreign investors."
