Warner Bros.' animated flick "Happy Feet" has gathered up a total $10.6 million booty in IMAX theaters since its premiere.

AceShowbiz - A satisfying outcome has successfully been scored by "Happy Feet." IMAX Corporation and Warner Bros. Pictures both announced yesterday, December 20, that the animated penguin romp has delightfully garnered $10.6 million in IMAX theaters since its premiere on November 17, 2006.

"The combination of 'Happy Feet' and The IMAX Experience has clearly captured the hearts of moviegoers this holiday season," Chairman and President of IMAX Filmed Entertainment Greg Foster commented. "We are thrilled that the film has already reached this milestone in IMAX theatres."

"Feet" previously set a new record at IMAX for being the strongest opening ever for an animated title showed in the theaters with a $2.4 million tally. So far, the movie has collected a total worldwide gross of nearly $200 million from both conventional and IMAX theatres.
