Nominees Unveiled for the 27th Annual London Critics' Circle Film Awards

"The Queen" leads the competition with seven nominations, notably that for Best Film of the Year.

One of the five sections of The Critics' Circle started in 1913 as an association for working British critics, the London Film Critics' Circle has revealed the list of film titles and names competing for its ALFS Awards, which will be presented on February 8, 2007 at the Dorchester Hotel, London.

As many have expected, Miramax's acclaimed British royal family drama "" became the most-nominated feature for the event, scoring down seven nods that included top honor Best Film of the Year alongside four other lauded features namely "", "", "" and "."

Meanwhile, its lead star satisfyingly landed double nominations in Best Actress and Best British Actress categories which another highly regarded thespian also scored through her performance in "."

Trailed behind "The Queen" was "" as the Fox Searchlight release wonderfully garnered five nods, two of them were for its stars and who races against of "" and of "Pierrepont" for Best British Actor of the Year title.
