Johnny Depp Developing Four Book-Based Flicks
Movie

Johnny Depp will produce four film features based on novels via his production company Infinitum Nihil with Initial Entertainment Group.

AceShowbiz - Bringing his production company Infinitum Nihil to higher degree, Johnny Depp is teaming up with Graham King's Initial Entertainment Group to produce not only one but four film features of different genre based on writing works of acclaimed authors.

Though the Infinitum execs have carefully stressed that the Oscar-nominated actor will only produce- not star, hopes still arise that the projects can turn into starring vehicles for the versatile star.

Listed in alphabetical order, the first of them is "Affected Provincial's Companion", an adaptation of a compendium of essays, diagrams and poetry written, designed and illustrated by Lord Breaulove Swells Whimsy as a treatise on the value of being a refined gentleman in today's unrefined world.

Next is "Inamorata", which will be made based on Joseph Gangemi's novel of the same title telling about the story of a Harvard graduate student who falls in love with a beautiful psychic whom he is attempting to discredit as a fraud. "Romeo is Bleeding" director Peter Medak is currently in negotiations to helm the project.

The third, "A Long Way Down", a big screen version of the Nick Hornby darkly comic, has been set up by both Warner Bros. and Initial for Infinitum to also finance with "High Fidelity" scribe D.V. DeVincentis being attached to pen the screenplay.

The last one is "The People's Act of Love", an adaptation of the journalist-author James Meek book which centers on an escapee from a Russian prison camp who bumps into a Christian sect in 1919 Siberia.
