"Black Snake Moan" and "Chapter 27" are among 17 titles set to be screened in Premieres section at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.

AceShowbiz - Quickly making a follow-up to its announcement of films presented at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, Sundance Institute revealed Thursday, November 30 the lineup of movies set to be screened in its Premieres section consisting of seventeen works of the latest effort from established American and international directors.

Screened at the Salt Lake City Gala is "Black Snake Moan" which stars Samuel L. Jackson as Lazarus, a blues musician who becomes the protector of an abused woman. Another Jackson's vehicle, "Resurrecting the Champ" will also be shown in the section as closing film alongside another U.S flick "The Nines" and British film "Longford."

Slated to encounter their world premieres are mostly U.S features like "Chapter 27", "Year of the Dog", "King of California", "The Savages", and "Trade" besides few foreign productions like U.K's "Son of Rambow: A Home Movie" and Spain's "Summer Rain" aka "El camino de los ingleses", the second directorial work of Antonio Banderas.

The 2007 Sundance Film Festival is scheduled to run January 18-28, in Park City, Sundance, Salt Lake City, and Ogden, Utah with documentary feature "Chicago 10" marking its opening and "Life Support" as the closing-night film.
