"The Pink Panther" helmer Shawn Levy has been tapped to direct two big screen projects of "Father Figure" and "The Talent Thief."

AceShowbiz - Sure constructing a hectic schedule for himself, director Shawn Levy has signed on to do a pair of big screen features titled "Father Figure" and "The Talent Thief" which both will be produced under his 21 Laps Entertainment, Variety has reported.

The former one, a joint project between 21 Laps and 20th Century Fox, is intended to be an original drama containing comic element with Mark Friedman working on the script while the latter, which is also produced by Universal Pictures, will be made based on Alex Williams' fantasy novel of the same title.

Further information about "Thief" is that "Aeon Flux" writers Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi have both been assigned to pen the screenplay with Tom McNulty executive producing. As for the premise, it will follow a boy as he attempts to thwart a villain who uses a strange create to steal people's special talents.
