"High Crimes" star Ashley Judd will make her screenwriting debut in "The Burning Time", an adaptation of Robin Morgan's novel of the same title.

AceShowbiz - Trying her hand at screenwriting, actress Ashley Judd is about to pen a screenplay of a seemingly promising film project titled "The Burning Time", the beauty herself has revealed during the New York press conference for her new film "Come Early Morning."

Adapted from Robin Morgan's novel of the same title, "Time" follows the struggle of an Irish priestess living in the 14th century named Alice Kyteler as she refuses to give up her land and faith following the arrival of the Inquisition which then leads her into a battle of wits with the bishop.

"I might fail spectacularly or succeed modestly," so Judd said to ComingSoon.net on the venture. "But I'm going to give it a go and probably reach out to other people who are writers to godmother or mentor me through the process."
