Darren Aronofsky Abandons the
Movie

Director Darren Aronofsky has left Paramount's "Lone Wolf and Cub" and is aiming to make a biblical epic feature instead.

AceShowbiz - Turns out that Darren Aronofsky's next film project after "The Fountain" will not be "Lone Wolf and Cub" as the filmmaker recently confirmed in an interview that he has quitted the flick for good.

"Paramount never got the rights," said Aronofsky upon revealing his reason to walk out the project, hinting that there is no use to stay in it any longer. "And we developed a script but now the rights don't exist."

Following the departure, Aronofsky now is planning to develop another big screen feature he has wanted to do for a long time, which turns out to be a biblical epic. No plot details have revealed yet as the man refuses to give any hints about it.

"Actually, I wrote a poem about it when I was in 7th grade," so he said of the project's basic idea. " About ten years ago I was at a museum that featured an exhibit that reminded me of it. So we've been trying to crack it for a while, and we finally figured out a direction."
