Lindsay Lohan Gets
Movie

Lindsay Lohan will both play the lead in psychological thriller "I Know Who Killed Me" and indie feature "The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond."

AceShowbiz - Continuing her path in taking more mature and diverse film role, Lindsay Lohan has reached a deal to have her first acting stint in thriller genre through "I Know Who Killed Me", MTV has reported.

Slated to begin filming early next month in San Luis Obispo and Los Angeles, the project sees the actress play dual roles as Aubrey, an abducted daughter of a rich family, and Dakota, a young woman identical to her. Chris Sivertson is on duty to direct with Jeff Hammond penning the script.

"I wanted to challenge myself," so Lohan said as she explained the reason behind her decision to take the part. "I wanted to do something different, and it's scary. It is a really scary read. It's in the vein of 'Se7en' and 'Silence of the Lambs.' "

In related news, it is also revealed that the raven-haired beauty will topline an indie feature titled "The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond" which will be developed from Tennessee Williams' long-forgotten screenplay.

Here Lohan is billed to portray Fisher Willow, the disliked 1920s Memphis debutante daughter of a plantation owner, who tries to pass her boyfriend Jimmy off as an upper-class suitor to appease her aunt who controls the family's fortune. Things get worse when she loses a diamond which then places their tenuous relationship in further jeopardy.

Apart from Lohan, names like Chris Evans, Ellen Burstyn, David Strathairn, and Ann-Margret are also reportedly attached to bring the highlight to the project. Production is expected to start next year with Brad Michael Gilbert serving as producer.
