Tom Cruise Eyeing Acting Slots in Three Films

Tom Cruise is looking at three films titled "Lions for Lambs", "The Ha-Ha", and "Selling Time" for his next starring vehicles.

AceShowbiz - Carefully making his choices for his next acting stint, megastar Tom Cruise is reportedly eyeing three features namely "Lions for Lambs", "The Ha-Ha", and "Selling Time" to mark his comeback to the big screen after "Mission: Impossible 3."

For the first project, which centers on a platoon of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan, Cruise is being courted to play a congressman with Meryl Streep to portray a journalist under direction of veteran thespian Robert Redford who will also likely to star.

In "The Ha-Ha", on the other hand, the striking actor is looking forward to become a Gulf War vet rendered mute by his injuries who has to take care of a 9-year-old whose mother goes missing. An adaptation of a Dave King novel, the movie is developed under Warner Bros. banner with Chuck Leavitt penning the script.

As for the latter one, Cruise has also been talking to director Spike Lee for a possibility to star. A dramatic piece of the 20th Century Fox production, the flick revolves around a man who sells back chunks of time in his life for a chance to relive also change the worst day of his life.
