Patricia Clarkson Finds the
Movie

Patricia Clarkson is attached to star in off-beat indie "Lars and the Real Girl."

AceShowbiz - Moving on to another acting stint, Patricia Clarkson has given positive sign to take a starring role in "Lars and the Real Girl", an off-beat indie feature from Sidney Kimmel Entertainment to be released by MGM.

Thus joining Ryan Gosling and Emily Mortimer in the cast, Clarkson will follow the two stars to come under "Mr. Woodcock" helmer Craig Gillespie who is set to direct based on script by Nancy Oliver. Principal photography will start in November with SKE president of production William Horberg executive producing alongside Bruce Toll.

As for the story, the movie revolves around lonely, delusional man named Lars whose life changes dramatically upon being visited by an Internet friend who turns out to be an inanimate replica of a woman. Gosling has been billed as the man while Mortimer will presumably play the lifelike doll.

A native of New Orleans, Clarkson currently can be seen on the big screen playing Sadie Burke in Steve Zaillian's "All the King's Men." Some of her notable film credits include "The Green Mile", "Far from Heaven", "Pieces of April", plus "Good Night And Good Luck."
