Oscar-nominated actress Kristin Scott Thomas has been included in the stellar cast of "The Other Boleyn Girl."

AceShowbiz - Continues to complete its cast, Columbia Pictures' "The Other Boleyn Girl" has officially added Kristin Scott Thomas in the line-up to play Lady Elizabeth, the mother of Boleyn sisters. The project previously included two rising starlets Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman who are billed to play Mary and Anne Boleyn, respectively.

A historical drama focusing on the clash between Mary and Anne Boleyn in competing for the love of King Henry VIII, played by Eric Bana, the movie is an adaptation of Philippa Gregory's 2002 novel of the same title.

Justin Chadwick is in charge to direct with Peter Morgan penning the script and Alison Owen plus Scott Rudin serving as producers. Production is scheduled to commence next week in Lacock Abbey, Wiltshire, England.

Hailed from U.K, Thomas is known for her dramatic roles, notably that in "The English Patient" which led her to earn Best Actress in a Leading Role nod at the 1997 Academy Awards. She currently can be seen in theaters playing alongside Patrick Swayze and Maggie Smith in Niall Johnson's "Keeping Mum."
