In a major week for new releases, Justin Timberlake scored his first No. 1 solo album, with "FutureSex/LoveSounds" sold 684,000 units in one week.

The NSYNC alumnus successfully has his second offering "FutureSex/LoveSounds" sold 684,000 units in just one week on the stores, such amount that obviously enough to bring the pop singer to hit the top spot of the album chart.

The Nielsen SoundScan counting, moreover, shows that the second set of Justin has been able to upstage the sales of his first album "Justified" which entered the album chart at No. 2 with 439,000 copies back in 2002. What's more, it is reported by Timberlake's Jive Records label that "FutureSex/LoveSounds" was also No. 1 in Britain, Ireland, Australia and Canada, and top-five in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, France, Denmark, and Hong Kong.

There on the album chart, the 2nd spot is seized by John Mayer's new album "Continuum", while Beyonce Knowles' "B'Day" drops to No. 3 after debuting at the top of the chart last week. Bob Seger also enters the charts this week with his first album in 10 years, "Face the Promise," at No. 4 and Bob Dylan's "Modern Times" slips to No. 5.

The other chart holdovers are Lionel Richie's "Coming Home" which lands at No. 6, Hinder's "Extreme Behavior" climbs to No. 7, Danity Kane's self-titled debut falls to No. 8, The Mars Volta's "Amputechture" at the 9th spot, and Nickelback's "All the Right Reasons" finishing the Top 10 at No. 10.
