Brad Pitt Targeted for Planned
Movie

Paramount Pictures is reported to eye Brad Pitt as Tom Cruise's replacement in the planned next big screen installment of "Mission: Impossible" series.

AceShowbiz - Regardless of its recent broken pact with Tom Cruise, Paramount seems determined to move ahead with potential plans to continue "Mission: Impossible" franchise. A "studio insider" has given information that the company is eyeing Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt to play the lead role replacing Cruise's character and is willing to do whatever it takes to get the "Troy" star on board.

In order to reach the aim, Paramount, as said by the source, is even willing to spent around $40 million in enticing him to join the project. If it turns out to be true, this inevitably will make the actor the highest-paid movie star in history.

Still according to the "insider", if "M:I IV" appears to happen, its story will likely center on "a gutsy new head operative who puts together his own unique team of specialists" while Ethan Hunt will be briefly mentioned to live a safe life with his new wife.

Initially worked his way in entertainment industry through a handful of TV series, Pitt has acted in more than 20 film features since his big break in "Thelma & Louise" in 1991. His next picture "Babel", also starred by Cate Blanchett, is scheduled to open in theaters on November 10 this year.
