Actor John Krasinski is set to both write and direct a film adaptation of David Foster Wallace's "Brief Interviews with Hideous Men."

AceShowbiz - Making a turn in his career, "The Office" star John Krasinski is about to have his directorial feature debut in "Brief Interviews with Hideous Men" while also being attached to write the script, Production Weekly has reported.

Based on David Foster Wallace's short story collection of the same title, the project is expected to begin production in November this year for five weeks with taking locations around the Northeast. So far, words on names involved in the cast have not yet come up to the surface.

Published in 1999, Wallace's "Brief Interviews with Hideous Men" contains twenty-two stories that intertwine hilarity with an escalating disquiet to create almost unbearable tensions. The series of stories from which the book takes its title revolves around a sequence of imagined interviews with men about their relationships with women, poignantly and hilariously exploring the agonies of sexual connection.
