New Line Cinema has secured the rights to David Hubbard's new comedy project of "God, the Devil, and Lucy."

AceShowbiz - Going for comedy genre, New Line Cinema has preemptively obtained the rights to a film project of David Hubbard entitled "God, the Devil, and Lucy."

Produced by Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen of Temple Hill Productions, the movie revolves around God and the Devil who decide to come down to Earth as mortal men to compete for the love of one woman that they mutually choose in their effort to settle things on fighting for human souls. Relying only on human instinct and emotion, they have to get the woman saying "I love you" to win all the souls of humanity.

One of the ten major Hollywood movie studios, New Line Cinema was established in 1967 and is currently a subsidiary of Time Warner. Some of its notable big screen features are "The Lords of the Rings" trilogy, "A History of Violence", and "Wedding Crashers."
