Aisha Tyler will star opposite Kevin Bacon in 20th Century Fox's new drama feature of "Death Sentence."

AceShowbiz - Drawing one more big screen stint into her resume, "24" star Aisha Tyler has given her agreement to take a starring role in vigilante drama "Death Sentence", a new project from 20th Century Fox and Hyde Park Entertainment.
Playing opposite Kevin Bacon, Tyler will portray a homicide detective who assists Bacon's character while she herself actually has growing suspicions that he might have committed murder. James Wan is on duty to direct with Ian Jeffers penning the script.
An adaptation of Brian Garfield's novel of the same title, "Death" takes a look on a father who seeks out for revenge after his family becomes the victim of a heinous gang-initiation crime, chasing down each person involved in the crime. Tyler's character in fact is written as a 50-year-old man, but later was revised by the filmmakers during casting.
Best known as the host of "Talk Soup", Tyler has appeared in a handful of popular small screen features, notably being the only black recurring character on NBC's "Friends." Her upcoming film projects include "The Santa Clause 3", ".45", and "Balls of Fury" alongside Christopher Walken and David Koechner.
