Director Tim Story has confirmed through his Blog that principal photography has been commenced on "Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer."

AceShowbiz - Going smooth into production, "Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer" has begun its filming process, the flick director Tim Story has confirmed through his official Blog. "Felt like old times," so he has written. "Everyone's back in the mix and really picking their characters up where we last left off."

A sequel of the last year's hit of "Fantastic Four", "Rise of The Silver Surfer" is still produced under the 20th Century Fox banner with an eye for a June 15, 2007 release. The story revolves around the heroic quartet's efforts to stop the destruction of Earth prepared by The Silver Surfer while at the same time facing the return of their mortal enemy, Dr. Doom.

As for the helmer, Story is an alumnus of the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television and first commenced his path in film direction through a 1997 feature entitled "One of Us Tripped." His credits include "The Firing Squad" (1999), "Barbershop" (2002), and "Taxi" (2004).
