Nick Nolte Heading for
Movie

Nick Nolte has been confirmed to be the latest addition in the cast of "The Mysteries of Pittsburgh."

AceShowbiz - Barely adding Mena Suvari and Jon Foster to its cast, "The Mysteries of Pittsburgh" has quickly come up with another big name. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the "48 Hrs." star Nick Nolte is the latest actor to join in the project.

With this inclusion, Nolte then will play the mobster father of Art Bechstein, played by Foster. The film's story itself will center on Bechstein as he meets a charismatic couple who later draw him into a series of adventures that ultimately bring him to confront his father.

The first film from independent company named Groundswell Productions, "Pittsburgh" is a movie adaptation of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Chabon's debut novel of the same title. Production of the picture is slated to begin on September 5 in Pittsburgh with Rawson Marshall Thurber at helm.

Initially started performing through the stage of Pasadena Playhouse, Nolte has built an impressive acting career which spans more than 2 decades. He next can be seen portraying Ray Cook in THINKFilm's drama feature "Off the Black", set to be released by December this year.
