The star, best known for his action as superhero Superman, is engaged to his girlfriend, actress Courtney Ford, the actor's representative, Kacey Spies, tells People exclusively. "They are very happy," says Spies.
Routh and Ford first met at the rehearsal dinner for Ford's brother's wedding. The two then began dating before Routh popped the question earlier this month with a sparkler from L.A. jeweler Neil Lane after three years of dating.
The happy couple reportedly is planning to wed next fall.
