"Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" still holds the top spot on the weekend box-office list.

AceShowbiz - Ricky Bobby still leads the race to once more take the checkered flag. Despite the coming of some rookies, "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" amazingly remains unmoved from its last-week position to be the champ in the box-office for the second time consecutively.

Though the NASCAR spoof's gross dropped 51 percent from its high-octane opening week, it delightfully was able to add another $23 million to its pocket during the weekend and so, halted the move of newcomer "Step Up" on the second spot as the dance flick only managed to garner around $21 million in its debut on the theaters. Taking up number three is Oliver Stone's "World Trade Center" which made its way to earn $19 million to make a respectable income of $26.8 million after opening Wednesday, August 9.

Last-week runner up, "Barnyard", sadly has to go down to number 4 this week after merely collecting $10.1 million. Right behind, another newbie, "Pulse", took a well enough flight to open at $8.4 million and thereby makes up the top five of the weekend's box-office movies chart.

Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" comes next with $7.2 million followed by Sony's superhero comedy of "Zoom" which encountered disappointing debut as it only could muscle up a mere $1,839 at 2,501 locations to score $4.6 million, inevitably becomes the lowest-grossed newcomers in the list as a result. Lining up from eighth to tenth rank are "The Descent" with $4.6 million, "Miami Vice" with $4.5 million, and "Monster House" with $3.3 million.
