Songs Scored the No. 1 to 10 Spot on Billboard Hot 100

Taylor Hicks' single, "Do I Make You Proud," debuts at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Hicks is rocketing even higher and higher in the industry, keeps reaping wining after winning from the day he was crowned season five "American Idol" champion. Has just signed his first ever recording contract, he shortly thereafter released his first single, "Do I Make You Proud", on June 13.

As many have predicted, the silver-haired Alabama native's set satisfyingly comes in at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the Billboard Single Sales chart and the Billboard Pop 100 chart, making it the best selling song in the country with over 190,000 copies sold in its first week of release. What's more Hicks will perform this chart topping song on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday, June 22nd.

Elsewhere, Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" falls to No. 2 after previously leads the chart on the very top position for two weeks. Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous," in the meantime, also slips one place to No. 3 on its 8 week on the chart. Yung Joc's "It's Goin' Down" and Chamillionaire's "Ridin'", both also slip one to No. 4 and 5 respectively. Unlike them, Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" rockets from No. 15 to No. 6.

The other charts holdovers are Rascal Flatts' "Life Is a Highway" at No. 7, Rihanna's "Unfaithful" at No. 8, and Cassie's "Me & U" at No. 9. Finishing the Top 10 on the singles charts is Lil Jon's "Snap Yo Fingers".
