"X-Men: The Last Stand" proved magnetic over the Memorial Day weekend, taking in $120.1 million, the biggest opening ever for the holiday weekend

AceShowbiz - "X-Men: The Last Stand," the final film in the Marvel comic-book trilogy, successfully taking in $120.1 million in ticket sales in only four days after being released May 26, such amount that brings the highly anticipated flick right to the top position in the North America box office. As a consequence, last week's champ "The Da Vinci Code" slips just one place to be at 2nd position with $43 million.

The DreamWorks Animation film "Over the Hedge", taking in another $35.3 million, is at 3rd position, ahead of "Mission: Impossible 3" at No. 4 with $8.6 million and "Poseidon" at No. 5 with $7 million.

Securing the 6th position is "R.V." which ticket sales reaches another $5.3 million, followed then by "See No Evil" at No. 7 which scores $3.2 million. Rounding out the Top 10 among others are "Just My Luck" at No. 8 with $2.3 million, "United 93" at No. 9 with $1.1 million, and "An American Haunting" which finishing the 10th position with $936,680 in ticket sales.
