AceShowbiz - Sharon Stone is undergoing the similar experience as that happens to fellow actress Teri Hatcher who has just accepted an apology from Britain's best-selling newspaper The Sun over a story that claimed she had sex with men in a van outside her home.

As of Stone, the beauty is receiving undisclosed damages and a formal apology from London's Daily Mail Thursday April 27th, 2006 for its June last year report alleging that Stone had left her son Roan Bronstein asleep in her car while she enjoyed a two-hour meal at London restaurant The Ivy with a "mystery male companion." The paper then in the following month repeated the same allegation in second article.

In fact, Stone denied the allegation claiming through her lawyer Rupert Grey that she had witnesses who could confirm that Roan dined with her at The Ivy on the night in question. And so, Kirsty Howarth, a lawyer for the Daily Mail's owners, told a London judge on Thursday that the paper now accepted that the story was untrue and apologized for the distress and embarrassment it caused to Stone.

Stone, who was not present at the hearing, reportedly will donate the money she received from the newspaper to charity.
