Intended to create another success, or at least repeat the same success of their first album "Fallen", music band Evanescence announce details on their sophomore album. Tentatively titled "The Open Door", the set is scheduled for an October 3rd release date.

Speaking on their new effort, the band vocalist Amy Lee claims that she has grown significantly since "Fallen" and considers guitarist Terry Balsamo as the "perfect writing partner".

"The Open Door" is being produced by Dave Fortman (Mudvayne), and was recorded and mixed in Los Angeles in early 2006. It will feature 13 tracks, with the lead single expected to be "Call Me When You're Sober."
