AceShowbiz - Shakira is getting more and more serious in taking in hand poverty causes, especially that in her country. Apparently, the Colombian pop singer recently revealed that she has teamed with a group of Latin artists to organize a Live Aid-style event that will help the poor people of her continent.
She says "We want this to be an event that brings world attention to poverty in Latin America, which is virtually invisible to the rest of the world." The event reportedly is slated to be held in 2007, though details on it have yet been revealed. Sources say the artists involved will among others include Juanes, Alejandro Sanz and Miguel Bosa, who all have track records of working for worthy causes.
