AceShowbiz - R&B singer Ne-Yo apparently has yet satisfied with the achievement he's gained in music industry. Already ruled the US singles chart for the past two weeks, the star is now giving hand at acting and is about to make his feature debut in "Stompin'," an urban dance film that begins shooting this month in Atlanta.

Of drama musical genre, "Stompin'" follows a troubled 19-year-old from the gang-infested streets of L.A. who is able to bypass juvenile hall by enrolling in a black university in Atlanta. There he is courted by the top two campus fraternities, both of which want and need his fierce street-style dance moves to win the highly coveted national step-show competition.

Set to direct the flick is Sylvain White, with Will Packer on board to produce from a script written by Rob Adetuyi. Also slated to star in are Columbus Short, Brian White, and Meagan Good.
