A sequel to the megahit family fantasy "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" is slated to hit theaters in late 2007

AceShowbiz - Soon following the success of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe", a sequel to the megahit family fantasy is now on works. Movie workers are busy preparing for the movie to be released in late 2007.

Speaking on the film project, which title is "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian", it will be based on the third installment of C.S. Lewis' seven-book "Narnia" series. That's according to Disney spokesman Ash Curtis.

The story of the film follows "Prince Caspian" who finds the four Pevensie siblings pulled back into the land of Narnia, where 400 years have passed since they left. The children are again enlisted to join the colorful creatures of Narnia, who have been driven into the wild, unfriendly parts of the land. The Pevensies must struggle to overthrow a usurping king named Miraz and restore the rightful heir to the throne, the young Prince Caspian. C.S. Lewis' "Prince Caspian" was published in 1951.

Working on the film are those work on the first installment, including director Andrew Adamson and the principal cast William Moseley, Anna Popplewell, Georgie Henley, and Skandar Keynes.
