AceShowbiz - Just two weeks after his winning at the Grammy Awards, rock star Bono now ups for Nobel Peace Prize, the biggest prize of all. The musician and fellow star Bob Geldof are among the 191 nominees for this year's Nobel Peace Prize.
Bono's being nominated for Nobel this time is his second year in a row, and third time in four years. Among the other nominees there is also former mayor of New York Rudolph Giuliani and Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who helped organize a peace deal in Indonesia's tsunami-ravaged Aceh province.
The winner of the 2006 Nobel will be announced in mid-October and will receive a $1.3 million cash award in a ceremony in Oslo on Dec. 10 later this year.
