Spears Will Celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans

Spears will celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans later this month when the devastated city hopes to revive some its old partying ways

is creating sensation after another as she's been tapped to celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans later this month as the devastated city continues to revive and revert to its old, partying ways. Thus, she will join ABC's "Good Morning America" on Feb. 28 when the morning show broadcasts live from the Big Easy.

Speaking on her getting involved in the festivities Spears said "I am honored to be a part of the Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans this year. It is so important for this amazing city to continue its annual traditions and I am really looking forward to being involved." The Mardi Gras parade season lasts from Feb. 18-28. Fat Tuesday, or Mardi Gras Day, is Feb. 28.
