AceShowbiz - The 2nd Annual of Writers Guild of America Awards finally selected the writer of "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room", Alex Gibney, as the recipient of its Best Documentary Writing honor on Wednesday, February 1. Receiving the award during the ceremony in Hollywood, Gibney, who also produced and directed the feature, beat his other four competitors of "Cowboy del Amor", "The Fall of Fujimori", "March of the Penguins", and "Street Fight."
