According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wilmer Valderrama will star as motorcycle cop Ponch in Warner Bros. Pictures' big-screen version of CHiPs

AceShowbiz - Wilmer Valderrama, "That '70s Show" star, is set to play California Highway Patrol officer Frank Poncherello, a.k.a. "Ponch," in the upcoming "ChiPs," the big-screen version of the TV series of the same name.
In hand to write the script is Paul Kaplan and Mark Torgove. Meanwhile, there has yet any director onboard and no one has been cast.
Based on the "ChiPs" TV series ran from 1977 to 1983 in which Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox starred in, "CHiPs" follows the pursuits of California highway patrol officers Francis Llewellyn Poncherello and Jon Baker.
