Carey soared with eight Grammy nominations Thursday, including an Album of the Year nod for her comeback statement, The Emancipation of Mimi

With her comeback album, tentatively titled "The Emancipation of Mimi," pop diva Mariah Carey slowly but sure would repeat her world success in the music scene which is apparent as she gains 8 nominations for the 2005 Grammy Awards, which actual event scheduled for Los Angeles on Feb. 8 and will be broadcast on CBS.

The 8 nominations that Carey gets among others include Album of the Year and Record of the Year. Though, she isn't the only big nominee for the prestigious event, there are also John Legend and Kanye West who both earns 8 nominations as well. 50 Cent, Beyonce Knowles, Will.i.am, and Stevie Wonder are those who get 6 nominations. Also there are Missy Elliott, Alicia Keys, Bruce Springsteen, Gwen Stefani and U2 with 5 nominations.
