American rapper 2Pac secured the top position at the British singles charts on Sunday with "Ghetto Gospel" featuring Elton John

AceShowbiz - The late American rapper Tupac Shakur topped the British singles charts on Sunday with his "Ghetto Gospel" featuring Elton John. By doing so, Tupac prevented Pop singer Mariah Carey's new track "We Belong Together" from the top spot, instead of the second top.

Stayed cool at No. 3 was James Blunt with "You're Beautiful," which soon followed by Welsh soprano Charlotte Church's "Crazy Chick" at No. 4. In companion, Idol Kelly Clarkson's new release, "Since U Been Gone" entered the charts at No. 5, left behind the already on the top spot for four weeks, the Crazy Frog.

At No. 7 was "Roc Ya Body" by MVP, which was ahead of Kanye West's new single "Diamonds From Sierra Leone." British DJ team Audio Bullys' remix of Nancy Sinatra's "Shot You Down" secured the Top 9, while at No. 10 was a new entry by Rachel Stevens titled "So Good."
