Bono and his band, U2, are suing an ex-stylist for blackmailing them and for selling their personal belongings without asking them

AceShowbiz - Dublin-based rock band U2 suing their ex-hairstylist, Lola Cashman, for blackmailing them and illegally selling their personal belongings. The band members are attempting to get back their $6000 worth of souvenirs, including a Stetson cowboy hat, sweatshirt, trousers and earrings worn by Bono during the band's 1987 "Joshua Tree" world tour, and also the 200 photos of the tour.

In relation with that case, U2 lawyer Paul Sreenan, has on Tuesday told Dublin Circuit Court Judge Matthew Deery that Bono and other members of the band would testify that they hadn't given any of the items to Cashman, who was also accused of claiming inappropriate expenses during the tour. Further, Sreenan said in a statement that the band hoped the judge would issue a judgment that Cashman should not continue to possess or try to sell any of the materials in dispute, just like he once did in 2002.
