The newly built monument of Beach Boys, placed in Caifornia, has becoming the target of graffiti vandals

AceShowbiz - Beach Boys' newly built monument, placed in California, has becoming the target of graffiti vandals. This obviously disappointed many, one of them is Harry Jarnagan, the Tracy construction engineer who led the drive to build the memorial dedicated May 21.

In order to prevent something worse, city quickly removed paint scrawled on the 119th Street monument and officials were considering a variety of security measures, like surveillance cameras, a fence or sealing it with a graffiti-resistant coating. In an attempt to do so, Mayor Larry Guidi said he plans to meet officials from a company that provides Internet-based surveillance cameras that could help protect structures on city property, including the monument.

Though no one was arrested in connection with Sunday's vandalism, the City Council had on Tuesday considered a law that would allow the city to charge fines of up to $1,000 against people who vandalize landmarks on city property.
