Cameron Diaz has sued The National Enquirer tabloid for more than $10 million over "caught cheating" report

AceShowbiz - That "caught cheating" report brought to life by The National Enquirer tabloid has drawn diva Cameron Diaz furious and thus led her to file an at least $60 million in damages, with $30 million apiece for Diaz and Nickerson, her MTV producer whom the actress has been reported to have an affair with. Per her lawsuit, Diaz accused the Enquirer for turning an "innocent, insignificant and non-memorable occurrence involving co-workers and friends into a sensationalistic, scandalous and accusatory story which was completely false."

In addition to the amount of money, Diaz also wanted a judge to award her all the money earned by the tabloid from its May 23 report, bearing the headline "Cameron Caught Cheating...World Exclusive! 25 Photos That Will Shock You! Hot Kisses with a Married Guy! What Will She Tell Justin?" Commenting on the libel filed in Santa Monica Superior Court on Wednesday, National Enquirer spokesman Stu Zakim said: "We stand behind our reporting and will defend the suit aggressively in court."
