"The Da Vinci Code" film plans have been rejected by Britain's Westminster Abbey after church officials denounced the book as "theologically unsound"

AceShowbiz - Producers of "The Da Vinci Code" film and Britain's church officials have both had a very different perspective about Christian belief, and even more about Christian message. The divergent perspective stemmed from the upcoming movie based on the blockbuster novel "The Da Vinci Code" written by U.S. author Dan Brown, which has been condemned by the Vatican and Anglican Church leaders for distorting the Christian message.

What really matter for the church officials is that the novel alleges Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had children, whereas the bible tells all Christians neither Jesus is married nor has he had any children. Based on that evidence, the Westminster Abbey insisted some of the book's details were factually inaccurate. And so, Britain's Westminster Abbey declined "The Da Vinci Code" to be filmed there considering the book as "theologically unsound."
