Generous and kindhearted Bob Geldof is planning his another star-studded, humanitarian event for Ethiopian famine relief dubbed "Live 8"

And that works for Sting, who admits to have been told by Geldof about "Live 8" and positively responses, saying he'll take part in the event.

The name "Live 8" is chosen as the indication to the G-8 summit, a meeting of the world's leading powers, set to start days later in Scotland. Commenting about his project, Geldof says "What started 20 years ago is coming to a political point in a few weeks. There's more than a chance that the boys and girls with guitars will finally get to turn the world on its axis."

Live 8 is set for Saturday, July 2, on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and it will coincide with a second show in London. Details, including the lineup and other possible venues, have not yet been revealed.
