AceShowbiz - Bruce Springsteens latest album dubbed "Devils & Dust" has reportedly sold 222,000 copies this week to gain top spot on the billboard album charts, beating former number one Rob Thomas who debuted his first solo record "Something to Be" last week. In companion with the good news, Starbucks Corp., a growing force in the music scene, said on Thursday that it chose to keep Springsteen's new chart-topping album, "Devils & Dust," off the menu at its coffee shops, partly because of its explicit lyrics.

According to some sources, it was the singer's steamy lyrics on the single "Reno," which includes a description of anal sex and an encounter with a prostitute, which caused it. President of Starbucks Entertainment Ken Lombard, to explain, said "There were a number of factors involved. It (the lyrics) was one of the factors, but not the only reason." Further he stressed the decision was mostly due to other considerations, including plans to stock other upcoming CDs, but said content was a concern.
