Actor Chris Klein pleads guilty to February 5 misdemeanor DUI charges

AceShowbiz - Actor Chris Klein has pleaded guilty to DUI charges stemming from February 5, 2005, case, in which he was caught for driving with a sky-high blood-alcohol level of 0.20 just outside San Diego, more than double the state's legal limit of 0.08. Since the DUI charge was a misdemeanor, the actor was not required to be present in the North County Vista courthouse, but his atorney did.
So, late Friday Klein's lawyer entered a guilty plea on the actor's behalf to one misdemeanor count. To notice, Klein was sentenced to five years' probation, 150 hours of community service, a 90-day license suspension and an $1,800 fine. For the community service, Klein's lawyer indicated that the actor would like to fulfill it at the Red Cross.
