Madonna is sued by one of her ex-employees for indirectly sexual harassment

AceShowbiz - Maverick CEO Mark Morgan is sued by a prior vice president of development at the Material One's Maverick Films, Yael Oestreich, for sexual harassment and wrongful termination. In the lawsuit filed on Wednesday March 9, 2005 in Los Angeles Superior Court, Oestreich accuses Morgan for making sexually explicit statement to her on several occasions, before he at the end firing her without cause last July.

The things began on November 11, 2003 when the film employees went to a Los Angeles bar where Morgan talked to Oestreich and drove "the topic of the conversation to personal sexual matters" and "requested that two female employees kiss one another," but it was refused by Oestreich. Since then, Morgan subsequently tried to "ridicule and embarrass" her in any occasion he could.

Maverick cofounders Guy Oseary and Madonna were also in the list of defendants who were blamed for failing to conduct a reasonable investigation into Morgan's background before hiring him and knew or should have known of his propensity for sexual harassment and discrimination."
