Michael W. Smith Leads 2005 Dove Award Nominations

Michael W. Smith leads this year Dove Award Nominations taking home 8 including artist and song of the year, for Healing Rain.

The Doves, Christian music's version of the Grammy Awards which will be presented April 13th, 2005 has been dominated by the famous Christian singer, Michael W Smith who gets in hand eight nominations, including artist and song of the year he gets for his "Healing Rain" song.

After Smith there is Casting Crowns who gets six nominations as its lead singer and songwriter, Mark Hall, has six individual nominations. Seat in the same position is The Crabb Family that also has six nominations and its leader, Gerald Crabb himself, gets six nominations for the song he has written. To add there are also Switchfoot, MercyMe, Israel Houghton and Matthew West all which have five nominations for each.
