The many complaints and protests referred to U2 'Tuesday, Bloody Tuesday' Vertigo tour have brought U2 drummer, Larry Mullen Jr. around to issuing a formal apology said in an "open letter" emailed to their "disappointed" fans.

As Reuters wrote, the huge demand taxed the presale system for U2's Vertigo tour had sent thousands of its fans home and worse left many of them less than desirable seats or no tickets at all. Many U2 fans who paid $40 to join U2 fan club site for a chance to get choice tickets on January 25 were very angry due to the awful seat they got for more than $165.

To give comment Mullen admitted that U2 couldn't completely control all things about their Vertigo tour, and the ticket distribution was the one they lost control of. Thus, representing the band whole members and its management, Mullen promises not to let the same incident happens again and that he is now "in the process of figuring out a way of distributing the tickets for our intended return to North America in the fall."
